March 18 at the State Kremlin Palace, was the All-Russian Folk Art Festival "Dance and Sing, my Russia!". This year the festival was held for the second time and gathered on the same stage 15 state theaters and ensembles, including the song and dance theater "Baikal".
In the three-hour concert, which, according to the director's idea, was built as a trip across Russia, the festival participants demonstrated all the diversity and richness of the culture of our multinational country.
The cultural heritage of the Buryats represented the theater of song and dance "Baikal", which presented the production of "The Legend of Baikal". The number included dances and songs from the projects "Ugaym Sulde - The Ancestral Spirit" and "Myths and Legends of Lake Baikal". For 12 minutes of the room, the Kremlin viewers saw beautiful swans, shamans, a totem wolf and a bull and of course the Buryat yor, who finished the production. Refined plastic, filigree performance, soulful vocals and playing on national instruments made a real sensation: six thousand spectators, applauded several times during the performance and did not let the artists go - after.
It should be noted that among the other participants of the festival, the theater "Baikal" stood out for its originality and was in the center of attention. Chief choreographer - Honored Artist of Russia, Honored Art Worker of Russia Zufar Tolbeyev acknowledged "Baikal" ahead of time, and also named the most successful and dynamically developing in Russia.
According to the organizers: "Folk songs and dances are masterpieces that make up a powerful layer of Russian culture. This is what is called a cultural heritage. Bearers of this culture, guarantors of their safety, augmentation and continuation of the song and dance tradition from generation to generation are folk choral and dance groups of our Motherland. " During the festival, a television shoot was conducted, the broadcast of which will be shown in the summer on the air of the channel "Russia K".
